Semester Project Proposal
My project is on my own art pieces that I've made throughout my high school years. I have 10 pieces that I have taken photos of. I am going to make a tumblr page and upload my art pieces along with a description under each one. I will also add a description of 2 or 3 artists that i've chosen to compare my art works to. I will add a description of each artist and put art pieces that are similar to mine. The first artist I am going to add is Georgia O'Keefee(known for flowers, New York skyscrapers and landscapes). And the second artist is Helen Frankenthaler(known for abstract practices). This project is important to me because I am able to research and find art works that are similar to things that I have already created. I've always been interested in art, although I am not going to pursue art, I am going to continue to make other art pieces for fun and in my free time. I hope that after I complete this project, people are influenced to express their own self through art. Art is very personal for each person and everyone has some sort of creativity within them.

Maybe you can create your own new art piece from what we have learned until now in the class..
ReplyDeleteI think it's a nice touch that you are using your own pieces to tie in to other women artists! Like Kruti said, it would be interesting if you could make a new art piece inspired by the women artists you choose. It's not mandatory, but I think that would be interesting to look at. Just a thought :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. You could also post your first ever painting to compare how you did then versus now. :)
ReplyDeleteYour art pieces are amazing! Can't wait to see how you connect your art pieces with other women artists.
ReplyDeleteI've always been jealous of people who can draw and paint so well because I'm a lost cause when it comes to that. With that being said, the two paintings you've shown look awesome and the detail is so good. The drawing that looks like a rib cage (I think that's what it is) is so cool because it looks 3 dimensional and some parts look shaded while other parts look like if a light is on them so it looks more bright (again, I'm jealous I wish I could draw like this!) I would love to see the other 8 paintings because the two you've shown are drawn/painted really well!
ReplyDeleteI would suggest as Kruti said, that maybe you could crate an art piece that was inspired by one of the artists we've read or discussed about in class and make a it still original to you but have hints of things like symbolism or colors or painting technique that relates to one of the artists we learned about :) Really nice drawings/paintings you're talented!
Nice. I really like this idea. Maybe you can say what inspired you to do art.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you can have the class try to figure the meaning of what you painted
ReplyDeleteI really like your art pieces, maybe you can say what inspired you to create each art piece.
