Semester Project Proposal

I created these drawings above in my AP Studio class during my senior year.. I am thinking about incorporating these somehow into my semester project. I’m not 100% sure on how I want to input this in the project. In my artwork, I depict myself as Snapchat filters to show how I’m able to hide certain insecurities about myself, and feel good about myself. I’m pretty sure some females can probably relate to it also. Snapchat filters, to me, sort of heightens one’s beauty. People feel the need to use it to appreciate themselves more, and feel accepted around. I want to use this to focus more on INSECURITIES and PROBLEMS female artists face in the art work. I will still be explaining Judith Bernstein’s artwork and other female artist that their artwork has some correlation with mine. Rather than comparing and contrasting her to another artist, I will be comparing and contrasting my artwork and and Judith’s artwork.

• I will explain more about the movement, and it’s purpose on women artists.
• I’ll talk more about their artworks along with mine, and what I believe is the true meaning/Purpose behind it.
• Answering questions like:
• How did her artwork itself make any difference?
• How does their perspective and artworks help change the view of women artist?
• I will be using a slideshow(Prezi) to present this project
• I will make a Collage(poster) of my artwork and the specific artist works.
• The Collage will also include some informations that is on the slideshow.
